What system requirements do I need to play my Super Nintendo console?

It is very old and I haven't played it for years! I've got a new television, but I don't know how to connect the SN to the tele and make it work!! Do I need a VCR or sumthing I remember I needed one b4 ... Plz help me relive childhood games !
