Christians that do not believe that ity is a sin: How do you justify your belief?

I justify it by virtue of being an ethical human being who does not feel that discrimination is acceptable. I also justify it by my own experiences as a serious religious practictioner who is biual. I know how I was treated by my phobic church and family, and do not wish to treat others in the same manner. Additionally, I am not a Biblical literalist. And even if I were to appeal to the New Testament, Jesus is remarkably silent on the subject of ity (although Paul is admittedly another story). Oh, and attending my uncle's funeral after he committed suicide as a direct result of anti-gay bullying was another factor in my decision to support gay rights.
