Do you think people's ethnicity can effect their eating habits, even if they don't know about it?
I'm trying to find out if my great grandparents, who were born in Switzerland, were in fact Jewish or of that line of descent, even if the family converted to Catholicism at that point. Mainly I'm wondering because of a small star on my grandmother's seal ring, which looks like a Star of David. Do you think it means anything that I hate pork? My parents eat pork and made me eat it as a child, but I think it's disgusting. Pork chops, ham, bacon and pork sausage especially just gross me out. I'm also disturbed by crab and lobster, which I found out jews don't eat either. I used to like crab but I find it more disturbing as I get older, and lobster just scares me, even dead on a plate! Do you think that's a co-incidence or not?
