What has either candidate done to deserve the respect of the U.S. citizens?

McCain at least he served the people of this country as a senator and a navy officer. Obama has not even completed one term as a senator. Its like going to the doctor for a surgery do you go to the one with years of experience or the one that just got out of medical school.
