What is the best fence to keep out alligators?

I hope to purchase a home with 2 acres right on a river in Florida. I also plan to have cats, dogs, chickens, and goats on the acreage. I obviously need an effective alligator barrier (otherwise, I'll be providing an alligator buffet!) What is most effective? I'd also like to keep the beautiful view of the river if possible. Also, I know it's necessary to bury the bottom of the fence, but how deep? And what about the top of the fence? And how close should the fenceposts be? Help!! Thanks!! :)
