Micorsoft Word Help! I want to bold just one word and its doing it to the whole paragraph!!?

It depends how you are doing it, are you highlighting the word and then either pressing CTL+B (bold) or clicking on the Bold icon on the ribbon, the same for Underline CTL+U this should only affect the highlighted word.
